Trump wants Saudi Arabia, Russia to cut oil output by 10 mln bbl
WASHINGTON/MOSCOW, Apr 2 (PRIME) -- Saudi Arabia and Russia are to reduce their oil production by 10 million barrels, U.S. President Donald Trump said on his Twitter page on Thursday.
“Just spoke to my friend MBS (Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman) of Saudi Arabia, who spoke with President (Vladimir) Putin of Russia, and I expect and hope that they will be cutting back approximately 10 million barrels, and maybe substantially more which, if it happens, will be great for the oil and gas industry,” he said.
But Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for President Vladimir Putin, denied Putin’s conversation with Mohammed bin Salman.
“No, there was no such conversation,” he said.
